Gloria Dei, which means "glory to God," was founded in 1927 and has always strived to be an anchor in this community.  We consider it an honor that God would allow us to be established at the very geographic heart of New Orleans where Broad, Napoleon and Fountainbleau come together.

Our congregation was inundated with nine feet of water during Hurricane Katrina.  However, through the tireless work of steadfast and returning worshippers the church was rebuilt.

For the first time since the storm, the congregation now has a full time pastor and a renewed dedication for outreach in the New Orleans metro area.  It is our goal during this new season of ministry to re-establish ourselves as a light in this dark world.
